2025 Bucket List and Goals recap

Here are the goals I set for myself for 2025.

Fitness Goals

  1. Run 500 miles x Ran about 430 miles
  2. Run full marathon under 6 hours ~ Ran a full marathon at exactly 6 hours
  3. Run a half under 2:30 hours * Ran a half marathon at 2:18
  4. Run a 10k under 58 minutes x Came close, ran a 10k and 60/62 minutes
  5. Run a 5k under 29 minutes * Ran a 28 minute 5k
  6. 10 races x Ran only 7 races
  7. 5 hikes x Didnd’t go on a single hike

Personal Goals

  1. Read 52 books * Easy goal for me to achieve
  2. Learn to crochet X Not yet
  3. Learn to roller skate x Didn’t happen
  4. Learn to change a flat tire x Didn’t happen

Family Goals

  1. Go to the LA County Fair x Nope
  2. Vacation in Big Bear x Nope

Financial Goals

  1. Pay off dentist CC x Nope
  2. Pay off 2nd dentist CC x Nope
  3. Save $3,000 x Nope
  4. Pay off Walmart CC x Nope
  5. Pay off Chase CC x Nope

Business Goals

  1. 1,000 followers on YouTube x Sadly, this didn’t happen
  2. Grow my desserts and baking business x Didn’t have time for this
  3. Grow my soap and bath products business x Didn’t accomplish this either

Travel Goals

  1. Visit San Diego * Went for a couple days and had a great time
  2. Visit San Franciso x Nope
  3. Visit Las Vegas x Nope
  4. One national park x Nope

It seems like I didn’t accomplish a majority of my goals last year, mainly because I was busy working so much. I am hoping I can do better with my goals in 2026.

It’s a new year and time to set my first quarter goals. Not setting too many goals because two of the goals I have set are big goals and I don’t want to overwhelm myself.

Looking Back at 2024

I travelled to Orlando, Florida with two of my sisters. It was my third time visiting, but my first time visitng Disney World.

I finally got back into running last year. I ran 355 miles, which is a lot more than previous years. I also started going to the gym. I finally feel like myself again.

My family lose three people last year. My aunt and uncle, who were in their 80’s, died last year. My sister’s teacher also died. He was very young, 29 years old. I met him once, he was a runner just like me. My mom said he did so much for his students, he was always checking on my sister. All of them will be missed.

Here’s how I did with my 2024 goals

Personal

  1. Read 50 books * Read books
  2. Write a book x Didn’t accomplish this
  3. Learn how to make bread from scratch x Attempted this twice, but both breads were failures
  4. Go on 5 hikes x Didn’t go on a single hike

Family

  1. Trip to San Diego with Selena x Didn’t do this
  2. LA County Fair * We did this and it was so much fun
  3. OC Fair x Didn’t do this one

Fitness

  1. Run 250 miles * Ran 100 more miles than this
  2. Run full marathon under 6 hours x Ran in 6:30
  3. Run a half marathon under 2 hours and 30 minutes X Nope
  4. Run a 10k in under 1 hour * Ran in 59 minutes
  5. Run a 5k in under 30 minutes x Came very close a few times

Business

  1. 1,000 Athena Rose Instagram subscribers x Nope
  2. 500 Selena Sweets Instagram subscribers x Also nope

Travel

The end of the year is almost here. This is the busiest time of the year for me, so I decided to set easier goals for myself.

  2. Read 15 books
  3. Run 1 mile @ 8:30 mile pace
  4. Reach 50 followers on YouTube
  5. Run a 5k with 9:30 pace

October 2025 Goals

Wow, I didn’t realize I haven’t posted here in months! I have been doing such a bad job with setting goals. Getting back into it this month. Here are a few goals I am setting for this month.

  1. Read 5 books
  2. Run 60 miles
  3. Go to the gym 7 times
  4. Post 3 YouTube videos
  5. Run 1 mile at 8:45 pace
  6. Run a 10 mile run
